House for sale with bedroom ‘built for Count Dracula’ leaves people speechless

An ordinary-looking home listed for £813,000 has left people open-mouthed after they took a look inside.

The property in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S has gone viral on social media thanks to an unusual bedroom and swimming pool.

The attractive home was renovated in 2018 and has four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The listing describes the property as having “the feel of an Upper East Side NY luxury home with a charming bungalow exterior!”

It’s on sale with an asking price of $1,130,000 in American dollars – but many prospective buyers have been left unsure after checking inside.

At first, the property looks like any other home – it’s an attractive house filled with beautiful artwork.

But the bedroom left some people terrified, as one person commented: “That bedroom is a nightmare.”

Another joked: “Imagine sleeping in a coffin when I’m not Count Dracula.”

A third asked: “Why does that bedroom look like the inside of a casket?”

A fourth commented: “I truly have no words…speechless. Wow,” while another added: “This was made for Dracula.”

The wood-panelled room is certainly unusual – with an extremely tall bed taking up most of the room and dwarfing the headboard behind.

The brown carpet and curtains make the room appear smaller and the fan above appears uncomfortably close to the bed.

The room really divided people online – with many admitting they would be worried that they might knock their heads while sleeping.

Meanwhile, the swimming pool was dubbed “insulting” due to its small size – which would stop you from swimming laps.

One person joked: “I would not have taken two pictures of that swimming pool.”

Another added: “The pool and bed need to switch sizes.”

Although the pool is rather small, there’s a huge patio for friends and family to enjoy barbecues and dinners outside on.

Any dedicated chefs will also be interested to learn that there is a second kitchen where food can be prepped separately.

The full listing of the property states: “Fully renovated & expanded in 2018 with an open great room/kitchen/dining Areas & an oversized isolated master suite.

“Covered rear porch overlooks the private brick courtyard with plunge pool & extended patio seating – great for entertaining!

“Guest suite with full bath also located on the main level. Gourmet kitchen with a 2nd prep kitchen!

“Study with gas log fireplace, built-ins, art/sculpture niche & half bath.

“Third Guest Suite upstairs with private sitting area/nursery & 3/4 bath with dressing area. Covered parking & extra land (3 lots) if the detached garage is desired.”

The property went viral on social media after the listing was shared – leaving people divided.

One person commented: “It’s like they hired 35 decorators, assigned them various walls, floors, and windows in random rooms and said, “show me what you’ve got without consulting with the other decorators.” I have second-hand embarrassment.”

Another joked: “If you sit up in bed in that bedroom, the ceiling fan is going to take your head off.”

But others liked it, with one fan commenting: “I like this house, except for that one bedroom, that bedroom is cursed.”

Another said: “Haters gonna hate, but this is like the ‘Personal Pan Pizza’ of swimming pools. All for me.”
